Love Lace Exhibition: Powerhouse Museum
Well it's been a while since I've written anything. House renovations have been taking over creative time unfortunatley.
I have recently come back from Sydney, where I was for the opening of the Love Lace exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum. It was very exciting to be there and see my piece finally installed in the exhibition along side 133 other Artists from around the world. If you can't make it to see the real thing, go to http://www.powerhousemuseum.com/lovelace/index.php/country/australia/flora-memento
and check out the work along with some of the making processes.
The catalogue is a beautiful thing, and I love the message on the front cover.

Just dropped some new work off to Found at the Fremantle Art Centre, such a great shop they have so many beautiful things there!
An exciting new pop up shop for Australian designers has opened up at the Floreat Forum, go to http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sometimes-A-pop-up-shop/171689276189965 on facebook to have a look or better still check it out at the Forum opposite Delish cafe. The Estella collection has been doing really well since I dropped off my first delivery a week ago. Had to go back today to restock!

Perth Upmarket
Thanks very very much to my friends Deb and Rox who came around to help me get organised for the March Upmarket! Couldn't have done it with out them. Was a very hot night and the kitchen was like a sweat shop!
Was a really busy day at the market, had my niece Diana helping me out on the stall, which was fantastic.
Thanks to everyone who came along.

Estella
Festival collection
The jewellery juxtposes the ancient and intricate Indian decorative motifs with a modern aesthetic. Photographs taken in exotic locales like the Taj Mahul and the Pink city of Jaipur in Rajasthan are the inspiration behind the designs.
Bright powdercoat colours capture the vibrancy of Indian culture, colourful saris and flowers, as well as paying homage to the many festivals that occur throughout India constantly.

The last three months of 2010 just flew by! The launch of the new Estella fashion collection at a the design markets Made on the Left and Perth Upmarket was a great success. The collection continued to be popular at Fremantle Bazaar and at Melanie Sharpham's open studio.
The webpage has been created for Estella, now I've just got to get started putting something on it! Hopefully in the next few months it will be a bit more than just a holding page. Keep your eye on http://www.estella.com.au/ for new designs being released.
